This Pacific Palisades home contains cascading architectural volumes with inverted roof lines as a contextual response to the hillside property. The dynamic massing, clerestory windows, and corner glass are all strategies enhancing both the canyon and ocean views while providing a balance between the openness of the interior and privacy from the street.

Pacific Palisades construction faces similar building challenges as Malibu construction, such as steep hillsides, limited staging areas, complicated drainage and constrained sites. With the Golden Residence, architect Andy Alper who worked with Frank Gehry before joining DesignARC, was able to turn these site issues into a unique work of architecture that sits harmoniously on the property.
