With all styles of architecture from contemporary to traditional, the beauty is in the details, and the joy in great space that inspires, and serves your practical needs as well.  Having in hand the goals and needs from your custom outline, we can begin preliminary design concepts for your review. Designing your custom home or remodeling project, we strive to engage you with design drafts for your essential review that maintain our team’s direction on your intended goals. As design development continues and is completed, we will prepare final design and construction drawings, specifications, selections, and cost. The Construction Documents are comprehensive providing the construction roadmap for building your new home.

Whether you have your own architect or Avalon is providing design services, we listen carefully to your goals in estimating costs, time,  and needs for your construction process, so as builders we are efficient and timely. Architects and designers like to remain involved during construction as well, insuring design integrity and detail problem solving. Owner, Michael Torrey, serves as your main point of contact during construction process with you, your designer and project foreman.  The Project Foreman provides onsite quality performance and safety control from subcontractors, carpenters and laborers. Builder’s daily logs provided by the project manager during construction are also an essential tool for cost tracking, coordinating purchases, documenting changes, as well as, tracking design team questions and responses that may arise. Enduring design, creative vision, construction expertise and an extensive network culminate our personal promise to plan, design and build your dream home.

Estate Maintenance
Maintaining a custom home anywhere, especially in coastal cities, takes knowledge, planning and commitment by the owner and the general contractor providing those services. This process begins with an outline of what your particular home needs based on its location, condition and building elements, whether Avalon is the builder or it’s 100 years old. All homes need maintenance and the more consistent the better.
